bless you my good friend

Dear Ron,
Greetings in the name of the Lord, whom his presentation in the
temple we celebrated yesterday, February 2, 2003 being Sunday.
Forgive me for not replying you on time; it was just that I was
busy at school.
As for the
HNS, we have been given a preliminary approval that will eventually
culminate in having the HNS flag fly in my parish / diocese.
We are to start while we would be monitored for sometime to find
out how far we can go not just in words of mouth this time but
in action to promote reverence to the name of our Lord said the
bishop. Since after the pronouncement, we have had three successive
meetings to marshal out plan for action. About 15 persons were
in attendance the first day and the rest of the meetings the
number increased to 18. We expect more people would join . Our
problem is basically publicity because the society is still very
new and needs to be given extensive publicity.
According
to the bishop we have to make a report on the progress we have
made by the end of this February, which he would scrutinize.
I have prayed and hope that we would have an interesting report.
We are aware that a lot of work must be done in that direction.
With God all things are possible.
Since the
very first time I mentioned to you that I'm interested in the
HNS I never relented to ensuring that it came into being in my
parish because I know it must help to minimize the rate of using
our Lord's name for joke as I witness in the campus. However
the photocopy of the book you sent me has helped in no small
measure to sensitize people on the dangers of misuse of our lord's
name. I pray and hope that when the HNS is fully established
- it would go along way in bringing blessings to our land, which
has suffered, and still suffering political crises. The catholic
literature you sent me made me to understand how mentioning the
name of the Lord saved many people and their lands in time's
of trouble.

Dear Ron,
We wish to tell
you the outcome of our meeting with the parish preist corcerning
the HNS. The fact is that our parish priest after hearing from
us directed us to our Diocesan Bishop for approval.
Meanwhile, we
would like you to send to us the HNS prayer book and format as
part of our proposal to the Bishop. However, you havw to bear
with us while we obey and follow the direction an instruction
of the the church even if it involves a slow pace.
In Christ Love.

Subject: plase attend to this
Please, could
it be possilble to send at least one or two prayers of the society
through net. I evinsage that I may be asked about it at the meeting
tomorrow.
I discuused with
Jude and suggested having what the typical prayer look like so
that we can go with it tommorrow. I don't mean the whole prayer
of the society but a bit of it - one or two.
I will not relent,
that's my promise to the Lord. Whatever I would go through to
get the HNS started is part of the cross I would carry. Lord
who began this good work between us will make it a reality. AMEN
Remain blessed
Julius

Subject: MY GROUP SAID LET'S GET IT STARTED
Dear Ron,
My group said
let's us go in-group to see the Bishop; we cannot wait to have
our inaugural meeting, they screamed as I broke the good news.
I could not hold tears as I watched mercy one of our members
composes the prayer into song in our morning devotion at school.
The bishop will give his assent soon that I know. I printed twenty
copies of the prayer, which was not enough, as the demand was
high. I have vowed not to disappoint God and the mother association
in setting up HNS here.
Knowing fully
well the tradition of the Catholic Church, I don't to want to
rush things. I'm sure the Bishop will give go-ahead order but
he has to take his time. I will be going to see him next week
with the mail you sent.

others in Nigeria, I have asked question concerning such pious
organization here but nobody knows about it among the people
I asked. I hope to visit HNS web site this week but before I
start making inquires I would wish to hear from you regarding
my intention about HNS coming to our parish and possibly our
school.
In Christ love
