SAVERIO TANCREDI
- 1912 - 2002
Saverio Tancredi died on August 25, 2002, at the age of 90 years.
He had served the Philadelphia Archdiocesan Holy Name Union as
President from 1971-73, and was honored for his service with
the Medallion Circle Award.
Saverio was actively
involved in coordinating the National Convention held in Philadelphia
in 1982, and played an major role in the development and marketing
of the Holy Name medallion. For many years, he served as Chair
of the PAHNU Awards Committee.
On the Parish
level, he was deeply involved with St. Thomas Aquinas. He performed
a significant amount of volunteer service St. Agnes Hospital,
and continued this work actively into his late 80s.

Edward D.
Matty
Edward D. Matty, a long time member and officer of Holy Family
Parish Holy Name Society, West Newton, PA [Diocese of Greensburg],
passed away on Monday, September 9, 2002, and was laid to rest
on Friday, September 13th. His
death resulted from a complex of medical problems.
Cards of condolences may be sent to his brother, Melvin J. Matty
[a Past President of the National Association of the Holy Name
Society], at 202 Allison St., West Newton, PA 150899-1104.

Decon Stephen
Andrusisian
Deacon Andrisisian was a long time member and officer of the
Holy NAme Society. He also served our organization as the National
Supply Officer, was the 2nd National HNS Association President,
and was the Spiritual Director for the Allentown Holy Name Diocesan
Union.
Deecon Stephen
Andrusisian was a Founding Member of the National Association
of Holy NAme Societies, and was a Founder of the Pennsylvania
State Holy Name Society.
