We, the PAHNS
officers, are excited with this addition to our Catholic organization.
With this domain, we can spread spiritual growth through out
the state. We are pleased how we can keep you up to date with
our activities here a well.
Each Diocesan
Union is working on adding to the site local active Holy Name
Societies.
We hope to
have a contact at each chapter soon. Please help us by sending
your information to be posted on the site. It is vital that we
have a member from each active society so that prospective candidates
can reach out to a local parish member over the internet. Your
participation may help grow your local chapter !
We welcome

Once

thing work for my company I asked you to help me with back in

you need my help at all. And I promise two things; I'll never
allow pornography on my server, and I'll do whatever I can for
non-profits and the missions . . ."

This
has been up and hosted since August of 2002. This is the third
significant "redo" of the domain. it hasn't cost the
state association a penny other than the cost of the domain name.
They do not pay to host it or update it. I do it because I can.
My talents being used to serve the Lord, God, and my Holy Name
Society brothers. It cost a fortune to have the ability to do
this ( that's why I'm driving 14 year old cars ), but I've performed
this task, and more just like it because of my many blessings:
A Great
Wife, 3 Great
Daughters, 1 Great Son, Catholic education for them all, from kindergarten
threw high school, and the 2 oldest are going to St. Vincent's
in Latrobe, PA (if I can afford it, and I don't have 2 dimes,
what's stopping you?)
A job
I love, working for myself. It's called Integrated Health Systems
(IHS, get it?)
Great
Missions: religious education instructor since 1981, Holy Name
Society member since 1982, Eucharistic Minister since 2001, involvement
in a Billy Graham Crusade in Latrobe in 1999 ( at my parish priest's
insistence, and never again ). , and in the summer of 2002, I
became the webmaster for the State of Pennsylvania's Holy Name
Society website !
A family
that gladly goes to church, kids that are on the path, an old
house, too many old cars, too many bills, but then, it's only
money.
The joy
of watching my oldest daughter sing (cantor) at mass, sing at
people's weddings, and will major in music in college. All 4
were alter servers (I was one too).
Leading
the church on some Sundays & the Religious Ed kids in the
Rosary.
And the
undeniable faith, and absolute knowledge, that God hears prayers,
you just have to be listening real hard and have patience. I
also know for a fact that God works fast, and has a sense of
humor:

- Once, when in
the military, I said something to the effect of " ... God,
you get me out of this, and I'll pay you back with interest .
. . Then, many years later, in church on Sunday, I said something
like, "... God, if there is something you would like me
to do, you have to let me know ... , the next day, at lunch duty
(another blessing) a nun came up and said, "Oh, Mr. Gigliotti,
you are so good with the kids, have you ever considered being
a religious education teacher"? How's that for answered
prayers ?
- Once, at 8 am
Sunday mass, I said "... God, ya know, I would pray more
often if I just knew the prayers better ...". Right after
mass, a good man from our parish came up to me and said "...Ron,
would you consider joining the Holy Name Society"? I said
what do they do, he told me a little of what they were all about
(grown men, praising the Name of God), and then said "...
and you get this neat little blue book full of prayers . . .".
Less than an hour from prayer to answer . . . . who said God
doesn't work fast!
- What male hasn't
wanted a sports car ? My wife gave me a motorcycle for my birthday
once years ago, I sold it, and she bought it back for Father's
Day a few years later (this was back in the early 80's) ! The
next time I sold the bike, someone got it she didn't know. Then,
a few years later, missing having a motorcycle one spring day,
she said I could get another one. I said no - it was her turn.
To my surprise, she wanted a sports car. RAPTURE ! Little did
I know her idea of a sports car was a Volkswagen Karmann Ghia
! I wanted a Corvette, a Porsche, a Shelby Mustang (remember
this was back in the FAT 80's). I bet God had a smile on his
face that day - he has to have a sense of humor !

Shortly after
I got the internet server up and running, a friend said "I
work with a crises pregnancy center. There mission is to help
women by assisting them in keeping the baby. Could you build
them a web site"?
YEP - because
of their web site, and my server and acquired programing skills,
there are children, that might not have been. If nothing else
ever happens, this was enough.
- I've made friends
in Africa, Spain, the Philippines, and all over the USA . . .
